Our Home

The whole first floor of our home is available for the children to explore and play.  With a dedicated play room, they are able to engage in multiple different activities at the same time.  We want both the kiddos and their parents to feel welcome and comfortable when they enter our home.  Home is everyone's favorite place to be.  Our hope is that our home will be your children's second favorite!

Our Backyard

Our backyard is a child's dream.  Over 3,500 sq ft of play area provides plenty of room to run, explore and play.  Wanting to provide an area for year round play, we knew that artificial turf was a must.  We chose a plush turf and included padding under approximately 1/3 of the yard where our taller play structures are.  In 2023 We added a large 15' x 20' retractable shade structure.  In 2024 we are working to extend our deck, add a roof and include a screen enclosure to utilize as an "outdoor classroom."

Our Days

We believe that children learn best through play and that a child's "curriculum" is built from every moment of their day.  This means you won't be sent home with worksheets or "produced" crafts.  Their learning takes place as they experience the world around them.  What you may see is a sheet of paper with an elaborate story made with stickers, pencils, crayons, markers etc.  There may not be words, but if you ask your child they can share the imagination and creativity representing their personality on a page.

Every interaction the children have with us, their friends and their environment is what creates their curriculum.  Our job is to observe the children and respond by offering opportunities to build relationships, establish routines, offer materials to meet their interests and changing developmental milestones, and provide new experiences and opportunities to explore and grow.

Other things you will see in our home are opportunities to learn inclusion and diversity.  Having a child of our own with developmental disabilities, the children in our care have many opportunities to experience inclusion.  Each child sees him as an equal and love him for exactly who he is.
