When you have an opening what is your enrollment process? When we have an opening we begin by contacting those on our wait list to see if they are still in need of care. Depending on the number and type of openings we have and how many wait list families are still in need, we then may or may not announce openings publicly in the local Facebook groups. Next, we schedule meet and greets with several interested families. The meet and greet is a time in which we can sit and chat with families and get to know each other. We take into consideration the needs of each child, the families current care arrangements as well as how we feel each child would fit with the group of kiddos we currently have in care. Following the meet and greets, we make the decision to offer the open spots to the families we feel would best fit our program. We understand that we may not be the best fit for each family, just as each family that we meet may not be the best fit for our program. Once a family has accepted the offer to join our program we then schedule an orientation. During the orientation we go over the parent handbook, policies and procedures, sign the contract and set a start date.

What are your hours? We are currently open from 7:15 AM to 5:15 PM. Our full-time tuition rates are based on a maximum of 9 hours per day. Attendance is based on each families contracted hours. Contracted hours are set at orientation and are listed on the signed contract. Attendance outside of a families contracted hours are subject to additional fee. If care is needed for more than 9 hours a day, weekly tuition will be adjusted to reflect additional hours of care and will be outlined in the contract agreement. We will not provide care outside of the above hours of operation.

Do you participate in Universal Preschool? We have chosen not to participate in Universal Preschool at this time. Our goal is to meet the need for infant and toddler care for our community. We strive to fill our vacancies with infants and toddlers and tailor our program for this age group.

How many children do you care for at once?We are currently licensed through the state of Colorado as a Large Family Child Care Home. This allows us to have up to 12 children at a time, which must include our eight year old daughter Kadie when she is not in school. Within that license we are allowed to have two infants under the age of 18 months. Having both Tim and Donielle with the children full time, as well as Nana and Gracie when needed, helps us keep a very low child to adult ratio. Our target is to have 10 children in care full time giving us a max of 1 caregiver to 5 children. However, as mentioned with the daily help of Gracie or Nana, this ratio is generally 3 caregivers to 10 kiddos or as we try to split it 1 caregiver to 2 infants leaving a ratio of 1 caregiver to 4 children for the toddlers and up. We pride ourself in the fact that this lower ratio, and ability for more one-on-one care, is lower than you will find in other licensed homes and center based programs. At times you may find that we operate under a waiver through licensing which allows us to have more than two infants under the age of 18 months. These waivers are specific to the children enrolled at that time and are granted only for a specific amount of time. These waivers can be found posted in the entrance next to our license.

What does your tuition include?Great question! Our tuition includes quality care for your child, nutritious meals and snacks, diapers, wipes and all other supplies and materials used during our days of learning.

What do I need to supply for my child? Our goal is to make your morning as easy as possible! We ask that you provide at least two full changes of clothing that can be left here. If your little one uses a pacifier please bring a couple to leave here. For babies using formula, we offer and will supply Members Mark or Kirkland brand formula. If you choose to use the supplied formula please bring a few bottles to leave here, we will wash and reuse them. However, if you use breast milk or chose to supply an alternate formula we will work with each family to decide what works best! We provide the rest of the basics such as blankets, pillows (when developmentally appropriate), sheets, cups, etc. If you would like to provide a sleep sac for your infant to leave here that would be helpful. For older kiddos, if they have a lovey or blanket they would like to use during nap time they are welcome to bring one to leave here. Each kiddo has a tote that holds their nap time essentials where their lovey can stay until nap time.

Do you take part-time kiddos?Currently we do not plan to take any part-time kiddos. However, that does not mean that we do not have part-time openings available or will not have a opportunity for one in the future. To inquire about our part-time availability please send an email to us at otrfcch@gmail.com.
